Is a 30in L x 12in W x 18in T big enough for a single or pair of adults. If not about how long would it last.

A very many well respected herpers suggest that a 55 gallon (48" wide, 21" high, 13" deep) is a comfertable size for a single dragon and is the bare MINIMUM size FOR TWO FEMALE beardies. ALL beardie owners agree that TWO FEMALE DRAGONS IS THE ONLY COMBINATION that should be perminantly housed together.
If its male and male, they'll potentially kill eachother fighting over territory, adn male and female housed perminantly will allow for the male to constantly attempt to breed with said female and will over stress her into not eating and could kill her (plus if she does get pregnant, and the stress causes her to not eat, the malnurishment will be much faster)
Here's my current 55 gallon set up that houses (for now) my 14 inch Female BD.

Wouldn't last very long if the dragon was fed properly and came from good large genes.. I would say by six months of age or more then likely sooner it would be way too small.
A good sized cage is 48" long x 24" wide x 16" tall. You want floor space more then height and too much height takes away from the UVB effectiveness.
I'm not a big fan of using 55 gallon tanks for most adult dragons bc they are very skinny. Some dragons will be just fine in them but if your dragon gets to be a very large size I would suggest something wider such as 18" or 24"
good luck,
brandon
