Crazy feeding story

Jonah Sep 13, 2004 08:36 PM

Had to buy some mice today as all my frozen ones spoiled when I lost power in the hurricane. So I get home from the store with my mice and pick up the bag and there is a 1 inch hole chewed in the side and the 2 adult mice are gone in my dad's new car. Brand new loaded out Acura SUV. I freaked out but by some miracle found them. Went inside the house to feed them to my corns and my okeetee refused his mouse. I sat there looking at this mouse who not only nearly escaped but then didn't get eaten and decided he just wasn't meant to be food. Besides he was really cute and tame. So.. anybody know how long mice live? Guess we'll call him lucky

They live for 2years give or take, yeah and mice ca chew out of bags real fast, even boxes, i bring coffee cans or those clear containers with vent tops, mouse proof.

Watch out--saving the uneaten dinner can be habit forming! It's why I usually have a pet rat or two around. Out of 30 snakes, only my ball python eats live. Every so often there's a small rat who is so appealing. . .just gotta' raise it up and teach it to do tricks. The best to you and Lucky!

I think my kids now like the mouse better than the corns!

Mice live toooooo long*L*
I forgot I had my corn in my hair, she will sit wrapped up in there for an hour or more and not move. I was cleaning and decided to clean the mouse cage before I did the floors. The next thing I know I have the snake speeding down my face and looking like shes ready to strike the next thing that moves*L* I guess the smell got to her real fast, mice stink so bad, males are the worst. I would have hated to have the snake eat the mouse but deep down inside, I would not have missed it "that" much *EG*
