BP having trouble eating!

nxquizit14u Sep 14, 2004 12:56 AM

She's about 9-10yrs old and just recently been having a hard time snatching up her live food. Everytime she strikes for the food she ends up knocking it away. She strikes multiple times
(5-10) and each time knocks it away. She shows interest in getting the food and hones in like she used to but she somehow can't seem to snatch it. After being offered food every 2-3 weeks she has only eaten twice after coming off her fast in April. Anyone knows what might be wrong or why she's doing this, please let me know ASAP.

sounds like defensive strikes.
She doesn't want to eat the rat, but wants it to get away from her.
I had some females only eat a handful of times this summer as well. They're balls they will do this.
If she has good weight I wouldn't be too concerned.
BTW my females that fasted through the summer stated to pound food again last week(all but one). Now they can't get enough.
She will eat when she is ready.

good luck
