beardies still growing??

ktmartin Sep 14, 2004 01:23 AM

i got a m/f pair of beardies in april that were about 15 inches or so long....i kept them in a 40 gal-long critter cage, i didnt think they had enough space so when i came upon a 125 gal aquarium for a good price, i bought it....now they were almost 2 years old when i bought them and since they have been in the 125 gal (about 3 months), they have both shed 3 times and the male is now 23 inches and the female 19 inches.....how much bigger are the going to get??? and will their babies (hatching as i type this) get as large if maintained the same way??

They are probably done growing and their babies will be an average of the size of their parents. My guess is when you got them, the adults weren't properly cared for and and didn't reach their full size until they were.
