The trouble with hi-color juvvies is that they'll mature into regular adult coloration.

roger these are not "high color" juvies, these are a solid red morph of the green iguana.

Can you post pictures and information? Any "morph" is still cared for as the normals of the breed, including growth and needs.
But Be warned... I AGREE with Roger... They try to pass off bright green, teal, red, and orange striped juvies as "morphs" and as they reach adulthood (if they live that long) they are normal colored iguanas.

Two years ago Fluker farms were advertising their red iguana hatchlings. They gave them away as prizes at the Daytona Beach Expo and winners were reselling them to vendors for as much as $1000. I had been in communication with a vet from Flukers at that time and he arranged for me to win one of the babies as I was interested in growing one up to see if it retained the color. I refused the offer after hearing reports of diseased Bearded Dragons coming from Flukers. They were never able to show me photos of red adults after promising to do so. I was also told that they would soon be releasing a "black" iguana morph.

I have only ever seen what I would truly call a "red" adult iguana once and that was at the Florida expo 5 years ago. It was owned by a vendor there and was not for sale.

If this is a true morph and the color stays true thru adulthood it would make for a very attractive lizard. But my opinion right now is that it's hype, just like the Blue Diamond iguanas are hype. Anything to make a buck......

I was also at the Anaheim show, and the "red iguana" really caught my eye. I think it was Eastbay Vivarium that had it for sale. They had an albino there also. The red iguana was labeled as being erythristic or erythistic. They were asking $1000 at the show, but on there web site they have one listed at $500. I am very interested in obtaining one of these, but what if it is just all hype. Hope they give some kind of gaurantee on the genetics. If anyone out there has any info on these guys please post. I really want one of these if they are genetic. I do know that it was an awesome looking animal though. I even got an iguana today after seeing that guy. ARE RED IGUANAS FOR REAL...ANYONE???

....I'll call the East Bay Vivarium to ask if the red color persists into adulthood.

If it does, then people will home-breed the reds. The offspring will be some reds and some normals. The hard part is culling the normals (drop a brick on them?). If this red factor is real, soon there will be igs which give only red offspring.

Once home breeding becomes common, the price will plummet.

Looks to me (in the pic) that it has "spots" of green!!!!! look above the leg in the pic and you will see green or yellow. maybe its just the pic but...
