I have been told by few to take my meal worms out about a day in advance, put them in a seperate container to gut load them. 1) is this the right thing to do? 2)How do I do this, rather what is bes to gut load them with and how often to do this?

the vet told me to let them eat the gutload for about 24 hours or more *atleast 24, you have to give them a few hours to "defrost" and reanimate themselves* and feed them to your gecko, take out any noneaten mealworms after 24 hours and put them back into the gutload. you shold have another group that have been gutloading (while these guys were siting in the dish) that you can rotate and put the 2nd group in the food dish. keep doing this till the mealies are gone and start a new cycle

You can gutload them with carrots and lettuce. Lettuce doesn't give as much nutrients so i would use carrots more often. Be careful not to leave the carrots/lettuce in the container with the mealworms for too long. When it molds it will kill you're meallies.
