not eating

hey everyone
my friend had purchased a leopard gecko didnt keep it in the right conditions and now it doesnt eat or drink.i made him give it to me because i am breeding leos and i thought i could get him to come back alive. But he still doesnt eat and his tail is just the bone and any advice would be very helpful. i think he is just to far gone but im not giving up until the end

How sad.
You might want to pick up some pedialyte. Not sure of the spelling. You can get it at the drugstore. I had a leo get an eye infection once and she lost a lot of weight. The vet suggested I use the pedialyte to help with dehydration. Just take a dropper and try to get her to lick some. Even just a little will go a long way.
