>>If that is what this thing has. I recently rescued a WC or farmed BP. I'm guessing besides all the ticks i removed he has stomatitis (spelling?). Is there anything I can do in the meantime before his vet visit? I'll post pictures tonight to give a better idea. He eats without any problem, poop looks normal to a naked eye, is plenty active. Just some crusty-ness here and there and some red-orange sore spots on the belly. Any ideas or suggestions.
Sores on the belly scales is not Stomatitis. The literal translation of the word Stomatitis is "Mouth disease". The common name for Stomatitis is "Mouth Rot". What your snake has is called "Belly Rot". It is a disease of the belly scales that can be of either a bacterial or fungal origin and is ALWAYS related to poor husbandry and dirty living conditions.
What you need to do is to go ahead and get a vet appointment. In the meantime, keep some triple antibiotic ointment on it and keep his cage scrupulously clean at all times.
