lower prices, question and a comment.

I have been reading a lot of posts here about lower prices this season on a lot of the ball morphs. I am just taking a quess at this , but do you think that could be due at least in part to many of the pro. breeders already owning many of the morphs. I figure there would be a big drop off between what a pro and a casual hobiest would be willing to pay.No matter how much a lot of us would desire to own a piebaled or spider for example most of us just can't afford a $9,000 dollar snake.

Actually you'd be surprised! People Still pay big dollars regardless of status! Spiders you can get as low as 5,500 if you look around. Pieds were sold at daytona for as little as 4,000! Hets have come WAY down in price and will probably be lower next year as well! 100% het pied males you can get from $250-350, 100% het albino males as low as $100! Look around there are plenty of deals out there. Make friends with a breeder and purchase from them. That's one way you get better deals, keep returning! Have them match prices you find or work something out.

Once all the big names have the snake and are working with it, where is the market? The next tier down, of course. So not only are MORE people producing the morph(s), but the tier that could afford or was willing to pay at "x" amount already has the morph. So the next tier that is willing to pay "x minus y" amount comes into play.

Obviously this is simplified, but its so true. Once all the big guns have all their female Mojaves and male Lessers, then who are they going to sell them to? The next tier won't pay $50,000 for one, so the price will have to drop if anyone wants to move anything. But even when every single Ball is $500 each (a LONG ways away), you will STILL make money if you're on your game.
