Since Mr Maddox wanted to include the venomous species I'd like to point out that HE forgot the Yellow-Bellied Sea Snake, which is occasionaly reported off shore in California.

The brahminy blind snakes, they are an intersting snake. All females, no males, able to give live birth or lay eggs. Each offspring is a genetic twin to its mother!!!

All red bellied snakes (3 ssp)

All brown snakes 5(ssp)

All Earth snakes (4 ssp)

Lined snake

All garters (14 ssp)

All ribbons (8 ssp)

All water snakes (20 ssp)

and the Kirtlands

If you count all the ssp, then a grand total of 57 non-venomous give live birth.
