Whats the difference?!

Brittbrat Jun 26, 2003 09:50 AM

I am now venturing into the world of bigger snakes and had a question. I was wondering what the difference was between a red tail and a guyana? Pics and info would be appreciated

okay, first of all, red-tail refers to boa constrictor constrictor, bcc. (not common boas, boa constrictor imperator, or bci). bcc only.

guyana refers to where the red-tail is from; i.e. peruvian, surinam, etc.

so to answer your question the difference between a red-tail and guyana is that a all guyana's are red-tails, but not all red-tails are guyana's. (see above re: peruvian, surinam, etc.)

hope that helps.

all those things are just localities. so a guyana red tail is from guyana, and so on...
