from what I have heard so far a lot is not clear about some of the BD traits and genetic's

things that for example work with snakes do not seem to work with bd's

some of this may have to do with the ban on getting stock from the country of orign ... so there may be a large amount of dragons today that come from the same pool of parent genes.

at least this what I seem to have read from the info I have seen so far.

From all my personal experience and research I've read, morphs are not a matter of one or two recessive genes, there are quite a few genes that control morphs. Outside of genes, husbandry plays a big part in the color dragons display (diet, lighting, temperature, etc.).

Hypomelanism is a recessive gene. Coloration such as in the Sandfire line are hereditary which can pull from approximately 7 generations back.
