Hi everyone!

Does anybody in this forum currently own the nominate form of jacksons chameleons(chameleo jacksonii jacksonii)? Most of us either own jacksonni xantholophus, or Jacksonii merumontanus( i own a pair myself), but does anyone own the nominate form? Last i heard they were not allowed to be exported out of their country, but perhapes some herpers receive some J. jacksoni that wree mislabled, thus successfully arriving in the US. Any thoughts, anyone?

hi. The Export from kenya of C. Jacksonii Jacksonii was banned, but they are still around in the UK (were i live). Xanth's are still easy to get, and merumontana slightly rarer. I think there will be C. J. Jacksonii in USA if there is so in UK?

I got one in a female that was labeled as C j. merumontanus that was C. j. jacksoni in early 2002. It was clearly summgled from Kenya into Tanzania and sold in the markets of Dar es Salam to a reptile exporter. It was the only C. j. jacksoni to arrive in that shipment, the rest were C. j. merumontanus. The owner of http://www.chameleontradehouse.nl has been known to travel to Kenya and summgle various C. jacksoni jacksoni out through Tanzania.

Yeah, he sales his ILLEGAL WC C. j. jacksoni! I would never buy from him. Plus he is in Europe. I no longer keep the WC C. j. jacksoni, I didn't have any use for her, I was after the C. j. merumontanus. I never took any pics of her, so I don't have any to post, sorry!
