my cali kingsnake is a little over a year old and recently i've noticed a few scab like spots near his head. hes also been very lethargic recently and the area around his nostril is very very dry almost flaky. its been awhile since hes shed but hes not due for at least a few more weeks. i was thinking of taking him to a vet if necessary but iwanted a second opinion first. if anyone has any ideas they'd be much appreciated. thanks.

That looks like the remnants of a blister to me. Are these spots just near his head or are their others on his body? Either way, i'd get that snake to the vet, especially considering the other symptoms you described.

you can see them forming in various places over his entire body. im deff gonna take him to a vet. does anyone know a good one - i live on long island right by garden city.
