How often would you feed a baby burm about 2 feet long and eating regular adult mice? Thanks.
give him 1 every 5 das and once it hits 30" give him a small mous every 4 days
First off I must ask if you are feeding F/T or F/K. If you are feeding live you need to try to switch to f/t or f/k as soon as possible. It is much easier to condition a baby/juvenile snake then waiting until they are older.
I would also try to switch to rats right now. Give him a rat pup/hopper every 5 days. I would stay on a 5-7 day schedule until you snake is about 7' and you switch to rabbits. Once successfully switched to rabbits then I would cut the feedings back to every 14 days. you can maintain a feeding schedule of every 14 days for the remainder of its life as long as you are feeding it appropriate sized meals. Hope this helps. Todd
Yea, I've had big burms for a long time but I never kept any babies around for long I was just wondering how often they should be fed. I've decided to keep a couple of my hatchlings. Thanks.......
I agree with the rat pup statement. It seems that they give the snake better nutrition. Also my burm seemed to like them better than mice.
It's amazing how fast they grow mine is about 3 months and already eats medium sized rats. 1 about every 10 days
