Hi I just wanted to say that I'm so pleased to have found a forum that caters for these great snakes. All I have at the moment is a pair of coluber rogersi (andersons whipsnakes) but considering I live in the uk I was lucky to get them.

Any of you have any ideas on how to get them to feed more readily on defrosts? I have had them since they were imported in the spring and they have eaten, when they feel like it, on defrosted pinkies and fuzzies left in over night, and I can get them to assist feed but I'd rather they just ate routinely without the hastle.

I am not familiar with that subspecies but being sight hunters movement is a feeding trigger. Once they are feeding good on hoppers, feed a hopper and followup with a dead fuzzy imediatly. It works on all of my racers. When in feeding mode, anyting goes.
