First clutch! wont eat

evers310 Sep 15, 2004 11:59 AM

I just hatched out my first clutch ever, they are miami-phase corns. It's been about a week now and a lot of them have finally shed. My problem is that they wont eat. I know they usually dont eat until they've shed but even the shed ones wont eat. I think the problem could be size, even newborn mice are bigger around than they are. I've also tried cutting up frozen/thawed pinkies but they wont go for them. what can I do to get them eating?

Thanks,

New born corns are fond of privacy. So placing them alone in a real small box (size of butter cup) in dark and warm place will make more ready for food. They settle in real quick when you give them this privacy and they will eat quick for you.
