ORANGE Phase Surinam Redtail

Kitchi Sep 15, 2004 12:19 PM

This is an uncommon color morph for BCC but two of the few people I consider Surinam experts have had or seen verifable Surinams with orange. The photo has not been tweaked and the flash actually washes out the pink sides.

the same transformation. The laddertail was a very dark red (almost brown) baby. Those dark super red babies almost glow once they start to gain their adult colors and the red bleeds through the normal canvas or golden dorsal color creating an orange glow.. definately a cool effect and another great result of really colorful babies. Bats throws babies like that ever y year, and according to Brian that is what Bats looked like as a baby herself. ... Sean your pics hurt... Smokin suri mike ..

Bats is due any day ...

How's this for orange and yellow?

You should really see him in person, as I cant capture the insane amount of orange. Maybe Charles will do us a favor and post a pic that shows the color better.

That that is a smoking example of the FLR blood.

this was one of Brians holdbacks from Bats/Sal 02'. I got him from Brian in early to mid 03 if I recall. He was just starting to turn color at that point since he was raised slower than I do. Once I put some size on him the color came out immediately. By the way, I have a baby pic of the one you got from CE, you probably have it also, but he/she was one of my all time favorite FLRT babies, or any bloodline for that matter.

it seems a handful of the 2001 bats bobo litter turned really orange...I also have a male from that litter (from Charles) that's really turned orange in the last year...also a bats/sal baby from last year that should turn really orange...i'll try to get a new pic up of him (obz, you've seen him...you sent me a picture of one of your mails that you said looked like him).

cheers,
gabriel
