Shipping of snakes

raiquee Sep 15, 2004 01:31 PM

I wanted to get my boyfriend a tree boa for christmas (he has been wanting one for awhile), but i'm not sure if shipping continues during the colder months? I have no where to hide this snake from him, since we live togther. We are small scale snake breeders, and he has wanted to add some tree boas to our growing collection

Do any of you buy snakes in or around the colder months? If so, how do they do when shipped?

Hi

We only ship Delta Dash at all times. We use a heat pack(s) when it's cold. All of our animals have gotten to their destinations okay, even to upstate New York in December, maybe a little cool once or twice, but nothing they haven't recovered in minutes from once into a warm place (like a heated car). However, they are in transit for a very short time, usually only a few hours since we always pick shortest flight times.
