Not only is it possable its comepletely normal... Dont worry about him.. If you really want to "clean him out" you can try soaking him in some luke warm water. But be careful what seems luke warm to us is scolding to snakes.. sooooo just be a little lighter on the temps. Other than that i would just wait him out and i bet it will all "flow" naturally in due time.

Hope this helps,
Rose

How can a snake that spends most of the day in temperatures greater than 80 degrees be hurt so badly by only warm water? Wouldnt they need warm water so their temp doenst drop too low?

If the water feels warm to you it's over 98.6 and too hot for a snake

Water does not have to be 98.6 degrees to feel warm to us. Our internal temp is 98.6, but our skin is not that hot. You are right though, a snake can be burned a LOT faster than we can.

Besides the other point about warm to us being rather warm, liquids transfer and hold much, much more heat. Being able to tolerate steam for a few minutes is no comparision to tolerating boiling water, for example.
