i've heard pinkys are better for calcium content

Depends on your definition of better. Fish are cheaper, and dragons can eat them alive, which dragon prefer, so it is easier to get young dragons to eat them. Mice do have a higher calcium content, and carry fewer parasites then fish. Also, some fish such as goldfish have an enzyme which inhibits the absorbtion of vitamins which can lead to blindness if fed exclusively.

The enzymes are in the gut and break down vitamin B when the fish is dead. So dead, whole fish, are not good to feed. I would agree that pinkies are cleaner and have a better calcium to phosphorus ratio.

well, I only feed fish to them live. But I'll probably hold off on the fish then since it still is hard to get them to eat different things, and I'd rather them eat a pinkie if thats better for them, ecspecially while their growing.
