Shedding Question

grafitti12 Sep 15, 2004 07:41 PM

Is it common for a beardie to stop eating while shedding? My beardie (1 yr old) is finishing up shedding and hasn't touched his salad in a week. He did 36 crickets (lg) on Monday and gobbled them up. Today he only ate a few of the crickets from the mini can-o-crickets. He usually finishes up the whole bowl. I just noticed that he also had diarrhea. Could this be due to the stress from shedding? Tomorrow I have to bring my ferret for his rabies shot so I will bring a fecal sample just in case.

he could be compacted. soak him in luke warm water. I know my dragon recently wasnt eating and excreted a stool that was almsot completly liquid.when i soaked her she excreted 2 additional stools. she is now eating fine. it could also be that he has internal parasites.
