I'd like to hear from the experienced breeders on this one.
With that said, I am wondering about the positive and or negative aspects of giving boas a slight night drop, every night. Not only during breeding season, during which time it would be to a greater degree. But keeping them set up with a slight drop in night temps all their lives. Would there be any benifits or problems with this? Does anyone keep there's that way? Or do most of you keep them at a pretty constant temp. unless breeding. I ask this because my cages are individualy heated and controled with a night drop feature built in. And because, in nature they do drop slightly at night at any given time of the year. With slightly greater drops in winter in most places. I'm just not convinced that is nessecary to try and mimic that when not breeding. But I am wondering about possible problems with keeping a constant temp., and if I don't hook up the night drop feature, it will keep it exactly the same all the time. They do have a circulating fan which does cool a bit twice a day for a half hour. Thoughts please. Thanks,
T.
