geckobill2112 Sep 15, 2004 08:36 PM

OK Here is the situation I have one of my female leos that looks like shes a hippo not a leo she is getting huge. Is it posssible that she is eating too much. I keep gut loaded giant mealworms in the encloseur @ all times. All the other females and the one male in the same encloseur are looking normal not extra heavy and not under nurished. What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance
Bill

They Can be too fat, just like any other animal/human too fat can be fatal as well.
However since you keep other leos in the same cage and leave mealies in a dish i'm not sure how you would control her intake.
My adult female who was getting a little pudgey feeds every other day
good luck

Crickets are less fattening than mealies and supers, so maybe try throw in some crix in the tank, let her do some hunting and get her move around more. That's what I'm doing with my overweight female.
