husbandary questions

hi i wanted to kno what, how often, and how much food i should feed a year old red tegu.

I feed mine once a day and allow him to eat all he wants. I put the food in there and allow him 20 mins to eat all he wants in that time. Usually he is done within 5 mins. He has been doing very well with that. Good luck Oh I also try to make sure I feed him around the same time every day. I try to catch him when he is the most active which happens to be when I am home for lunch that way he has time to digest while it is still plenty warm in his tank for digestion. Take care

You can feed mice, Rats, baby chickens, ducks, meal worms, roaches,egg, fruits, veggies, rabbit. Those are just a few things you can feed there is also the SDZ diet which is ground turkey, bone meal, and centrum vitamins. No matter what you feed you still need to dust it with vitamin and calcium supplements though.
