Should have sent him to my house in Mel. Beach. Do you go to school in Melbourne? Brooks

no, actually a friend of a friend sent me the pict. My first thought was a yellow rat but I thought the head looked to triangular...

Call me crazy, but it kinda looks like a Brown Tree Snake (Boiga irregularis). I have no idea if they've ever been brought to Florida though. Could be a ratsnake I suppose.

Boiga!!! Yes, that IS crazy! No need to reach for way far out improbabilities. Common sense says it is a yellow rat snake.

Yes but this is during a storm. I dont know where that species resides, but a snake from the islands the storm hit could have been carried to that spot in florida.

Yellow rat snakes are more arboreal than their close relatives the red rat but also tend to be thinner bodied. This snake is of considerable girth and from I can see my guess would a red rat. Look at the coloration about 6" from its head.
