A nice find.....

odatriad Sep 16, 2004 08:41 AM

Hey guys, just found these eggs today. The off-white one was found in the water last night, but apparently has the same density as the other eggs... I still have an egg which was laid in water from the last clutch, that is still incubating and growing strong...Yes, I know, I have some nesting issues to work out, but I'd say that this is better than nothing, so I am content with that.. Try to improve on it next time around... The 200 day countdown begins with these guys.... Why the hell do they have to have such a long incubation period? I wish it was more like a python's incubation time, around 50 or 60 days or so.... but hey, what can you do....

Now it's time to get her rehydrated and back up to par for another round of eggs..hehe...

Take care everyone, thanks for looking... Cheers,

bob

More blue tree?

So when is your estimated time of hatching for the first clutch?

Good Luck, can't wait for the hatchling pics.

hey robert,

yup, they're my second clutch of macraei eggs... The first clutch is due sometime in january or december, so it is a little past halfway, I believe... It's been about 95 days or so... that is, if they take the average amount of time that other members of the prasinus complex have proven to hatch out at.... the wait is killing me.... cheers,

bob

Way to go! More pending blue tree thingies! I really sympathize with how hard it is to wait. Shoot, I was antsy just waiting for a few leopard geckos...I'd be a wreck over something as delicate and rare as these. I'll keep fingers and toes crossed. Want to see babies!!
