with my leo in a nice clean critter box addorned with a half log. my leo looked so puzzled as the car drove off. finnally we arrive. he took some procedures taking out layers of mucus with tweezlers, and adding drops off salt water. this is the first time in 2 days that my leo oppened her eyes, i was so happy
time passed and soon he gave me drops, explained the dossages(3-4 times a day), and i was off again. hey if you have any experience with eye infections please tell me if feeding the leo super meal worm guts is good for them in a syringe. i place worms because of their lack of speed, but she still cant find them in time. if you have any other oppinions please tell me. well my other leo is doing fine today, she ate a nice and plump pinky, yum
im glad your gecko will be okay although im sure the trip to the vet cost a pretty penny

I am so glad to hear that you found a good vet and your gecko is doing better. Re: the superworm guts and the syringe, when my leo was very ill and needed help eating, I found out something gross but useful. If you take the head off a superworm, you can use the, um, body as a "syringe" and just squeeze the guts out a little bit at a time for your ill leo. They don't seem as put off by the superworm body as they might be by a syringe, (at least my leo was). Also, do not be suprised if your leo does not feel like eating during her eye treatments. Often the stress of treatments or the medications themselves will cause your lizard to lose its appetite. Don't worry, though, just treat your leo's eye infection and it will likely start eating again very soon after the treatment is done. Good luck!
I was so surprized when the vet weighed my leo. Only 20 grams. Well if i keep up my routine and use a most effectine syringe feed. She'll be as vibrant as she was before. But the good news is she ate a whole super worm yesterday. But she seems to find it easier to take food in liquid form. I just can't wait till she gets better. Once again i'll see her running through the mulch with much bliss, and hunting down unsespecting crickets. 'Till then i will wait and devote all i can for the recovery of my leo. And once she recovers i have plans to make both my female leos a new enclosure.
