What is normal for baby beardies to eat? Mine seems to vary in how much she will eat. I think she is getting way too spoiled!! She will at this point only eat veggies/greens mixed with pellets out of an eye dropper and now will only eat her crickets out of a cup! She only ate one cricket this morning, but I had them loose and she kinda just walked away from them. But a few minutes ago I gave her some in a plastic cup and she ate about 20-25 crickets. What is the norm?? Please help so I don't over feed or under feed her. Oh and she gets about 3cc total a day (1cc three times a day) of the veggie/pellet puree.

Depending on the individual animal and the size of it and the crickets they can consume anywhere from 20-100 crickets a day. It's not good that you fed it from a cup in the first place because now I doubt the beardy will break the habit of waiting for food. That also reduces the amount of exercise its getting also. If your saying it ate 20-25 crickets plus a few veggies that should be just fine depending on how large the crickets are. I mean, if they are pinheads then I don't think thats enough, unless your dragin is very young.

Thanks for your advise, I fed her from a cup once and that was yesterday. I was worried she wasn't eating enough and looks like I was right. I'll still try to get her to "hunt" her food, but if she doesn't I'll have to do something. Oh she is 6 weeks and the crickets are 10 day.

I'm very happy to say that Bayou hunted her crickets this morning. I stopped counting at 22 and she was still going. None are left so I belive I put 30 in with her. Thanks for your help! She is very small and very off balance since she has no tail. But she's doing great!
