Hey, I got hit by hurricane ivan last night, left us without power. Well it's miserably hot here...i'm more worried about my snakes though. their cages are about 83 degrees and i'm giving them plenty of water to cool off in...do i need to do more or worry about them? No idea when power will be back on.

you should be fine. What are you running for hot spots when you actually have electricity?

Hi Chris. Sorry to hear about your loss of power. I was without power and running water for over 5 days after Frances. If your temps are hanging in the mid-80's, everyone should be fine. My temps were spiking up into the 90's and my corns, atb's and boas all did just fine. In fact, I had 5 animals all go into shed at the same time about 2 days after we lost power. Weird. Good luck and I hope you get your power back soon - sux to be without.
