It depnds if you want to hold it or just enjoy looking at it and no handling. If you want somthing to handle I recomend a leopard gecko but if you just want a animal you can enjoy in the terrarium then heres a nice list
curly tailed lizards, armadillo lizards, pictus geckos, fence lizards, collared lizards(although they can become tame and are out at day unlike the leopard geckos wich are nocturnal),bibrons gecko, moorish gecko, house geckos
these are only what I can think of now if I come up with anymore Ill tell you and I hope this helps out
Nick
how much should i expect to pay for a gecko or lizard? thanx
jd
I am knew to the "herp world", but I do know how much Leopard Geckos cost at various places.
1. Reptile Shows/Expos-you can get a normal one for $20-30
2. Breeder-it depends
3. Shelter-yet again it depends on the shelter, but they are usually cheapest here
4. Pet shop-VERY expensive a leo can cost about 80-90 dollars, and plus the animals aren't even that good!

All work and no play is gay-something i heard somwhere, it's not my quote
all the lizards I posted are relatively inexpensive.the highest priced will be probably the leo or the collared lizard but the rest are inexpensive and very hardy.hope this helps

thanx for the help, but i think i've decided to spend some money, ive narrowed it down to either the chinese water dragon or the bearded dragon or the unyloxyc(spelling) which one would be easiest to keep up and be the friendliest?
thanx
jd
Size is money when it comes to lizard keeping, so the bearded would in over the water... If by the last word you meant 'uromastyx'... i don't know much about them
.
yeah, thats the word, but i found out that they are hard to keep, so i think im goin w/ the water dragon, what size aquarium should i get, i want one that will be good for its whole life, thanx
jd
i have three water dragons and 2 beardies and i find the beardies to be much easier to keep... but they both have a nice easy temperment and are hardy.. if you are going with a water dragon i would go 60 gallons or larger for life...a 55 is the bare min. and i wouldn't even advise that if it were a male water dragon...hope that helps

Hi, sry I am a bit late with a response but I want to tell you that uromastyx lizards are not as hard to keep as you would think, they don't mind to be handeled, you can get some for around $30, and all they need to eat is veggies and don't need water in the cage, I am only 13 and have 2 uromastyx right now, they were my first pet lizards( besides geckos from my backyard)and I have yet to have a problem with them.
