Hi Dom...

It was nice to meet you in Daytona...

We're not really sure what to call these little guys...
The mothers are normals...
The fathers are a couple of interesting looking males that we are working with...

billcherep Sep 16, 2004 08:39 PM

Hey Nigel,
Long time no see. Didn't see you at White plains. Hope all is well.
Nice babies! What are they? What were ther parents?

Hi Bill...

We weren't at White Plains...
I'm not sure when we'll be there next...

The parents to these little guys are some normal females and a couple of interesting males that we are working with...
We really liked the way that these guys came out...
Especially the first one...

Nice snakes.
What kind of camera do you have?
Awesome close ups.

Renaissance Sep 16, 2004 10:24 PM

The camera is a Nikon 5700...

I think these cameras are being discontinued, so you can get some great deals on them right now...
A good friend of mine just picked one up for about $550...

Thanks again...

Very cool. The snake in the middle pics looks like kind of like an Angolan...

Renaissance Sep 16, 2004 10:26 PM

We thought the same thing...

I'm looking foward to hearing more about that project. They're all great but I like the one in the first 2 pics the best

Renaissance Sep 16, 2004 11:19 PM

That's my favorite too...

Have you thought about breeding them with an albino to eventually produce high red albinos?

Renaissance Sep 18, 2004 12:58 AM

I hadn't thought about that...

Hmmm...

bobtheballsmom Sep 17, 2004 03:00 AM

Holy moley!

They've all got "Mickey Mouses" on their heads like Bob does!

Gorgeous!

Renaissance Sep 18, 2004 12:59 AM

One question...

Who or what is "Bob"...???

bobtheballsmom Sep 18, 2004 02:36 AM

"Bob" is shown in the link I hope I attached correctly below the pic.

Bob's a she actually, and is currently in a state of non-eating, over active freak out, but exceptionally affectionate while she's doing it, so I'm trying to be nonchalant over the whole thing. :-D

Unfortunately, you can't really see the "Mickey Mouse" on her head in these pics using the $89 digicam, but it's clear as day in real life, or using a camera that has a dpi capability higher than 2 , and very similar to the Mickey Mouse outline on the head of your first 2 pics. The "ears" on hers are a little tighter in tho'.

It was just an apropos of nothing comment.

Your babies are beautiful.

"Bob's a she actually..."
I love stuff like that...

We don't usually name our snakes, but we did recently name one of our females "Leo"...
"Leo" is a real little spitfire...
She came out of the egg grumpy and we decided to call her "Leo" (after one of my wife's grumpy brothers)...
Once we sexed her and found out that "Leo" was a "she", it was too late...
And the name stuck...

Bob is very pretty...
Assuming, of course, that "Bob" is not the really big guy in the pictures...

I think you should get some kind of an award...
I've never seen anyone on this forum use the word "apropos" before...

"I love stuff like that..."

Really not sure how it happened. My Dad, whose name coincidentally is "Bob" was distinctly not amused. There was no real connection.

She came out of the egg grumpy and we decided to call her "Leo" (after one of my wife's grumpy brothers)...Once we sexed her and found out that "Leo" was a "she", it was too late...And the name stuck...

Had a Border Collie female named Fred for 14 years. Name came to me as "meant to be" before I did the requisite "tail lift and peek" -- It stuck as well.

Bob is very pretty...Assuming, of course, that "Bob" is not the really big guy in the pictures...

Thanks! I was going to add an addendum in the previous post that the hairy chest was definitely not mine. That's Bill...Bob's favorite place in the world to sleep is coiled on Bill's face when he's sleeping.

I think you should get some kind of an award...

Bwahahahahahaha!

My sister calls me a disgruntled "closet" English Teacher. Odd, since I actually work for rock bands, and you'd think I wouldn't need an actual vocabulary. LOL!

Those have got to have to be some sort of hybrids. The scalation of the head and body are far too similiar to angolans! Those daddys' have got to have a bit of angolan in them!! There's no way!! I love them....I just LOVE them!!

Renaissance Sep 18, 2004 01:02 AM

We love them too...

dbreptiles Sep 17, 2004 04:23 PM

they are amazing, they look like a yellow belly angolan ball...
