Food question?

my sis has leopard geckos and fed it turkey baby food. now she wants to know if she can give it others like banana or any other types of things. she gives them gutloaded crickets but she wants to give it variety. i told her i think fruit is no good for them but i am not sure. if u have any advise and/or reasons they should not eat it please let me know. i told her to hold off until i can get advise. thanks much

Fruit wouldn't give them much more than a tummy ache. It would really have no positive effects due to the fact that leo's only are soley insectivores in the wild. Turkey babyfood is ok but Can give diarrea because of moisture content. I'd just stick with the feeding of mealworms, crickets, and silkworms if I were you. ( I mean your cousin/sis ((forgot which)) )
