I do not keep my lights on 24/7....I have 14 day and 10 night...I just wanted to know i'f i should have a night drop or not I am still not sure what to do about this? Also i am having a slight problem....The heat pad covers half my tank.....yet when i measure different parts of my floor hot spot it reads between 88-95...I dont understand trhis...the heat pad is connected to a thermostat also..Thanbks for all the help,

I never had a night time drop when keeping burmese pythons. Regarding the variances in your hot spot temperature could be due to a temp difference in the heating device itself. I would pull the heat pad/flexwatt (what ever you are using) out and do a test of it where it can be read without any interference.
