I presented my male to my female questions???

Ok,
Im not breeding till at least 3 more months.
However yesterday I put my male & female next to each other on my bed to see what would happen.
The female is 62 grams and the male is 38grams.
The female started walking close to the male, liking her face. I thought she was going to eat him.. shes a little pig LOL
anyway the male just walked away after a few seconds.
Is this normal behavior?? Was the female interested and the male wasnt???
Should I do this once in a while or should I not until they are ready to mate??? I just dont want either of them to get scared and drop a tail.

Well, she was probably just wondering who he was...trying to get the scent of him and such. If the male just walked away from her, it probably means that he's not interested in mating yet (maybe they sense that the natural "breeding season" is coming to a close?). Try again in a few months by just putting them in the same tank. Leos rarely drop their tales with other leos...in fact, they rarely drop their tales at all unless they are really being attacked.

Probably just not in the mood. My male and female were interested in eachother as soon as I put her in. He mated with her like 3 times that day (give him a break, he's been backed up for about 2 years) He has since settled down and I havent seen him mate with her again since yesterday, the first time was may 25thish.
