I got my baby male hypo 66% het sunglow out the Monday night and held him for a while. I put him back as usual, or so I thought. Turns out I'm an irresponsible snake owner and did not close his tank securely. Wednesday morning I was checking on all the snakes and noticed he was on the run. I franticaly searched for him. I was an hour late for work and hadn't found him. Meanwhile my 105lb. Cane Corso was running rampent through the house. I had searched everywhere or so I thought. I had to get to work. All I thought about during the day is how irresponsible I was. I raced home after work and began the search again. I have a floor/wall heater that has never been used. It goes about 3 feet deep. I was shining the flashlight down and could see anything. I removed the grates to get a better view. Still nothing. As I was lining the grates back up, there he was. Wedged in the frame, unharmed, and a little surprised. He has such a mild temperment, he let me just pick him up. I figured on some attitude, but got none.
I was so relieved and thrilled to find him.
Just a feel good story.
Thanks.
