Kingsnake

I have a baby brooksi kingsnake. She is usually very docile and calm, but she has suddenly become agressive and won't let me pick her up. When I open the cage she will sudenlly curl up in a striking position. She is calmed down a little, but I don't know why she's been acting so strange. Do snakes have bad day? If you have any advice, please post.

Yes, snakes sometimes have bad days. It could also be she's about to shed... when they shed their eyes cloud over and despite how tv shows say snakes dont' need their eyes, they still use them so when they go blind they feel vulnerable. Have you noticed her in the blue at all?

She already just shed; I think she was so full of energy that day that I may have startled her. Now she has calmed down back to normal. Anyway, thanks a lot for the advice.
