Hi 10 minutes ago i got my female saharans in the mail. the orange one is Flame the yellow one is Sunset. When i introduced them to my malis my malis kept on licking them a lot. More than 30 times in a row!! Is this normal? I will try to post pictures of all of my uros.

First off, I have to say congratulations on your new Uros! Okay, now to the question. I have heard of peoples Uros licking other things colored red, orange or yellow (in fact there was a post not to long ago I recall of someones Uro licking a snake that was colored with red, yellow, or orange(I can't remember which one ),I know that reptiles are naturally attracted to the color red, so I guess your Malis were attracted to the bright coloring of your Saharans, or they just thought they were yummy flowers

These are the best uros I ever had. First of all they are getting acclimated really fast. When they see me they won't run away. Secondly, they already ate 2 hand fulls of lettice, and they are out and about. Now for the COOLEST one, the orange female (Flame) is most likely gravid and will lay within 2 weeks. The yellow female (Sunset) has a chance of being gravid because she was also housed with a male. Now look at all of the good things that just happend

1 quickly aclimating
2 eating on first day
3 1 maybe both of them are gravid

who did you get your uros from? always good to know good sources for future purchases

also, i don't think it's the color thing. when i introduced my newest mali female to my other male and female they licked her all over the place, and she is brown/freckled. so who knows, maybe they just like to lick each other.
