I've been housing a good friend of mine's gravid female
ball for him (he doesn't have an incubator, and I've got
room in mine now that most of my clutches have hatched).
I haven't told him yet that he female laid eggs. He is
frequently online here, so I thought I'd surprise him!

On 6/15 she ate her last meal (small/med. rat)
On 6/25 she was 2564.g (post ovulation shed)
Unsure of ovulation date as she was so fat it was not very visible and I was not sure if she was going to lay. (a nice surprise)
On 8/14 she shed (post egg lay shed)
On 9/16 she was 1522g. (after she dropped 8 eggs)
8 eggs at a total of 1003g.

Interesting thing is that the het. pied male fathered 3 clutches (so far) and all consisted of 8 eggs...........

The first clutch only two made it (1.1) , but they are both very nice Blackbacks, thanks to their mother, so I plan to see what hppens with them.
They both have the belly markers and are sweet!

I do have an incubator but it needs some new thermostats.
Hey, almost two months to the day since my last clutch. (7/17)
Which hatched a few days ago. (also 8 eggs and a nice 4.4 group)
Three clutches from my Het. pied male so far.............
