How often Should Adults Shed??

palex134 Sep 17, 2004 10:02 PM

My male hypo Tangerine Carrot tail has Shed twice since I got him on August 24. He is seven inches and eats nicley. He is in a 20 Gallon with a Female Tremper Albino and Warm Spot In the low 90s and Cool in 80s with night temps of about 84. Two hides in tank one with moist moss. Feeding on mealies and Crickets. Is there anything I should improve.

They will shedd about every two weeks to every month. Keeping a female and a male together really stresses the female since usually the male is always trying to mate. I would strongly advise seperating them.

Add more hides. With a 20 gallon tank, you should have plenty of room.
