Just wondering what sub this is? I'm such a sucker. Do a month of research, then 2 weeks of checking breeders, and i cant resist the pet store reptile that needs a good home... sigh :P

A perfectly beautiful example of B.c.i.(B.c.imperator) every bit as worthy of attention as any other boa...I see nothing to suggest it's the result of any type of intergrade breeding.(so pay no attention to disparaging remarks.) best of luck with your new pet.

??? TO ME, the tail coloration would suggest colombian. the saddles would suggest central american something-or-other, and the lateral coloration and pattern would suggest central american or island bci. so, in response to the question, what SUBSPECIES is it, i simply answered that it could probably be assumed to be a mutt of various bci localities. nothing disparaging about that comment. after all, how many people love their mutts (dogs)? preeeeeeeeeeetty much all of them. if the perceived tone was negative, i appologize. it was merely meant as a quick answer. nothing more except that it's an indicator that if you were not told the locality, there's no real DEFINITE way for someone else to know it.
on a different subject, if someone utters the word "mutt" as opposed to its more PC sibling of "cross" and people take offense, maybe they're offensive and people should stop making mutts...? people take themselves too seriously. i just enjoy my animals for what they are and i don't really care what others think of them. the main reason i post pics is b/c once in a while, i'm moderately proud of the pic, not so much the subject. and i think more can be learned from one pic than from 10 posts. and besides, i have yet to produce ANYTHING, so what would i have to be proud of? the fact that i can find the most beautiful example of a certain animal and pay for it? in my book, that's nothing to be proud of... but it is what makes me happy so far.
just my completely random thoughts and an half-@$$ed explanation, jb

It seemed to me someone was excited about a new aquisition, and, just curious about its possible subspecific identity(?) certainly if you had posted a pic of an animal you were excited about,or,proud of & someone responded with "mutt" in the description, you wouldn't think they were being complimentary? I wasn't trying to start anything,I was just answering a question without being negatively presumptuous,(sorry if that led you to feel apologetic.)someone wanting to participate in this Forum shouldn't have to feel like they have to have locality info on their animals just to share a pic,or,ask a simple question...(my humble,"too serious" opinion!)

No hard feelings anywhere guys, i was just kinda curious. I have no preferance towards any sub, and just wanted to make a good home for this guy.
