Hi, my friend has a 7' eastern indigo snake that I was fortunate enough to handle at a recent herpetology meeting. He was the highlight of the show and tell meeting ( southwestern herp society ) and I want to get one for myself. Can anyone tell me where I would be able to get one?

Look in the kingsnake.com classifieds under "other snakes". There's at least one for sale there right now. You will have to go through the Federal Permitting process in order to make an interstate purchase, but the seller should be able to guide you through that. It's much easier if you can find one in your own state for sale. Also check out Indigosnakes.com. They have a list of breeders in there.
