i cehcked out my females belly and it looks like she will lay any day now. i dont have time or money to get a digital scale to see how much moisture i should have. can i just like spray the egg container with water? If so, how often.

just get some sterile substrate, flood it with water, and drain it till it cant be drained no more. Thats what I do,
I dont even use a scale even though I have one. Check out the care section to my site.

and I am also using Albey's method. I just took a spray bottle and kept adding water until the perlite was very very moist but didn't have excess water. I open the egg container every week for air exchange and I just check to see if I need to add more water then. If I think it needs more water, I just add a couple more sprays. 4 of these eggs have been incubating since May and are doing great (they are due to hatch in July). Good luck!!!
