I recently checked on my WTF and his nose has scratches on it. I kept checking on him yesterday and his scratches changed color from red to white. Does any one know if this is normal and if its hurting him??

Cud b from jumping onto the screen or hard objects in the tank. Also put neosporin it helps. Not sure wat kind of neosporin hope some1 knows on the forum.

thanks for the reply. my wtf got his scratches from bumping into the tank glass. he doesnt see the glass. i cleaned it yesterday and moved things around so hopefully that might help. can anyone help me about what type of neosporin i should use? would the one over the counter work??
Instead of Neosporin just try some triple antibiotic...over the counter is fine. One of my White's would jump at the screen of my cage and got a really bad nose sore. When it starts to heal up it will turn white and then eventually get the pigment back. Apply it twice a day, depending how bad the wound is and you should see healing results within days. Keep putting it on...maybe go down to once a day when it's pretty well healed up. As far as prevention....do you have it so he/she can see out of the glass? Or do you have a background on it. My frog was trying to get out of that side because it was the only side that didn't have background on it. Good luck
