Here is a couple links. There's not toO much info available on them. I had the same problem with getting info when I first got mine last year. You might also try the Chameleon Reseach Group. i don't have a link for them but that forum may be more help.
If you are looking to get a Flapneck I like to suggest a CBB over what you will normally find(WC)in pet shops and in most classifed forums. You maybe more successful with the CBB as they are hardier. also Look for an older chameleon, older then 4 months.

thanks. i saw him at the pet store. i have been wanting a cham for a long time but wanted to wait till i moved. well i moved and just so happens i find one three days later. so i set up a cage, did my research, and went and got him. the people at the store said he is full grown and a male. other then that they did not know much about him. he is really scared so im not going to mess with him for awhile. i read that they only live for 4 years
is this true?

Brandi.
In all honesty your Flapneck will stay "scared". Chameleons generally are a showcase "pet". Meaning they are to be looked at but handled as litle as possible. I can tell you from my personal experiences with my flapneck, they are VERY nervous chameleons ALOT more so then any other species I have owned. when i have handled mine she always fires up and attacks then as i place her ON THE BOTTOM OF HER CAGE she stays fired up but flops around a bit. I emphasize place her on the bottom because if i don't she throws herself to the floor of the cage and flops about to escape the immediate "danger" she is in. the first time she did this i was taken back, it really shocked me. after some thought though i understood it was her fight or flight response. just remember Flapnecks are VERY nervous in nature and the less you handle them the better off you guy will be. As far as their life span four years sounds about right.
