Southern California - Can rosy boas be found this time of year? How?

freediver Sep 18, 2004 04:58 PM

I gave up a couple of months ago when things got really hot, but now the babies are being born. Do they come out at night? I have to drive a good distance to find rosys (whitewater, pioneertown etc.) and I don't want to make the trip if I'm likely to come up empty. What do you more experienced guys think? Am I just going to have to wait until next spring?

Hi,
You can find them this time of year, I saw a sub adult female last night close to one of the spots you mentioned. She was nice looking, once I get the pics uploaded to my site I'll post a pic of her. Good luck,
Jeff Teel
