I was glad to see we hadn't even lost power. I live in Laplace, and from what I hear they were out barbequeing and the wind didn't even get bad enough to blow over the beer cans... LOL. All of my critters were happy to see me and the crickets I brought them, too. I hope everyone else was as lucky as we were.

Yeah I figured it wasn't gonna get much of us....but there was no reason not to prepare for such a big storm as Ivan was.....glad everyone is doing ok....
I heard it took someone 6 hours to get from New Orleans to Slidell in all that traffic?!?!
It was nice being off school for a beautiful day though....

Yeah, and I heard it took some people almost 10 hours to get to baton rouge... but I take the backroads.. i got all the way to shreveport in 7 hours. =D
