i see this ad in the classifieds and i wanted to get some information from the guy so i write to him and ask him the usual details concerning price and pictures, etc.

so he sends me pictures and prices.

i write him back and compliment what he has available and say that i will definitely be contacting him in the future, pretty much in those words too. here is how he responds:

"Hi Mike,
What's wrong with now? I have close to 30 and just got 30 more so these will not be around that long. Let me know what's up?

Thanks Hank"

first off, i really didnt think it was polite to question why i couldnt get them "now". so i was nice and responded with:

(i quoted him) "what's wrong with now" followed by "the fact that i dont have that kind of money right now"

i didnt mean it to be rude, i just simply dont have the money to buy a large group of cresteds from him, i was being honest.

here is his response:

"Hi Mike,
That's fine then you do not need to get nasty about it then you can Email me when you get the money and if I have any left we can work out a deal then. I don't know why you Emailed me if you have no money.

Thanks Hank"

gotta love the part where he says "I don't know why you Emailed me if you have no money."

not only is that unbelievably rude, and an unacceptable way to treat a potential customer, that statement alone made me decide to never do business with him, i had intentions of doing business with him in the future like i told him, but since he basically made me out to be a waste of his time, i now have no intentions of ever doing so.

i just wrote him back and let him know i would never do business with him. you dont treat people like that, especially if you are trying to get business for yourself.

"Listen I think that yes we both misunderstood each other and I apologize for that and as a good faith if you do purchase anything from me I will include a free gift at no charge to you. you know what I will even send it to you if you buy nothing that's how sorry I am for misunderstand that Email"

well perhaps i was a bit harsh, my anger clouded my better judgement, i should not have made this post, although i am still not happy about it, he was a man and handled it like a mature adult and i must do the same.

that was very good of him to do. i must admit.

That's what you get when you answer an ad "Pet shops look here..."

He may as well be waving a flag that says "Poor Quality Animals and Customer Service to Match"

He said he's got 50-60 more coming...dead give away that he's buying cheap, low end animals in bulk...animals that probably haven't been cared for properly.

As I maintain, you get what you pay for. Go to a decent breeder with a good reputation to protect, and (s)he will take good care of you.

oh i did not order from him, and i really have no intentions of doing so, but since he apologized, i too must be mature about it and apologize myself.
