Was wondering,
Seeing that cresteds are nocturnal like the leopard gecko,
Do they need calcium powder in a dish to lick,or what is the method used to make sure they get what they need?

I keep one in there but nothing is ever touched. And yes they do need calcium, and a multi vitamin supplement. To use these, simply put some of the dust in a baggy, throw some crickets in and lightly shake. I just open the jar or whatever its in, grab the crickets with tweezers and rub him in the calcium or multi vitimain so he gets covered. Don't feed both calcium and vitamin at the same time either.
Ok, it really depends on your cresties age, if its a juvenile then it should get calcium everyday, and maybe a multi vitamin one ot twice or three time a week. If its an adult it should get calcium every other day or so, with the vitamins once a week or every other week. Don't feed both at the same feeding, on the days you use the vitamin, dont use calcium and on calcium days no vitamin. Sorry his is so confusing, it's hard to explain. But if you feed both at the same time it can give them little beadlets in the tumm and they might get impacted and die from it. I'm sure someone else will be able to explain it better, I'm a little tired and... well ya know how that goes.
The best things to stivk with are the rep cals. The calcium ultrafine and the herptivite. You can also get the crested gecko diet by T-rex, its pretty good also, food and supplements all in one.
I dust crickets with calcium/vit-D at every feeding. I also mix calcium in with the babyfood/crested diet. I have a small cup of calcium in every gecko cage and have observed adult and juvenille cresteds, gargoyles, fattails and leopards chowing down on the powder.

Thats intersting, very good advice though. My crested never licks his powder, not sure why. Maybe a large enclosure? hes in there by himself in a 29 gallon but I don't see a reason why that would matter. Hmmmmmm. Maybe yours feels the need for more calcium, not sure. Do you breed by chance?
Yes I do breed cresteds.
