the saddest day yet

warriorprncss3 Sep 19, 2004 07:16 AM

Last nite matt and I took one of our striped albino applegate's to a friend of ours to help feed her because of a problem with her jaw. After even a pinky pump failed she had to be euthanized. I guess I'll live but matt is devastated. Guess i'll be putting out the big bucks in the spring to get him another female.

Sorry for your loss. What was wrong with the snake's jaw?

It had a jaw that was so recessed it would have had to have been pinky-pumped its whole life and it also had no tongue. Thanks for the support. Sera

Yeah, I've seen that sort of thing a couple of times recently. I used to never see that sort of deformity. I have to wonder if it is a result of so much inbreeding.

At any rate, I'm sorry for your loss. He's probably better off that way rather than heving to be force-fed the rest of his life. Some animals just aren't meant to make it. Nature can be pretty cruel that way sometimes....
